AT&T Video Share Marries Live Streaming with Voice Calls

AT&T has launched Video Share, which lets users share live video through their cell phones while on a voice call. This is the first AT&T application to use its new Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) platform.

This service combines streaming video with live phone calls, granting users new perspectives and sharing capabilities with others. AT&T is a live streaming-video service that lets both parties see the same video concurrently. This service works exclusively over the AT&T 3G wireless network. This really combines the usefulness of a webcam service, like Stickam, with a mobile device, and enables content to become more immediately shareable. This will obviously be a good tool to integrate with a cross-platform sharing network, and also moves towards the larger goal of mobile companies to provide more integrated tools for rich content-sharing options.
