Newcastle Brown Ale is spoofing the obscenely high price of Super Bowl ads with a joke campaign for a crowdfunded Super Bowl ad.

According to their "Band of Brands" campaign, they think the best bet for smaller businesses to stand a chance is combining their resources and pay to have their company logo featured in a joint Super Bowl ad.

Of course, their choice of Aubrey Plaza as a spokeswoman might be a little ill-advised. When the director pleads for her to sound less sarcastic off-camera, Plaza, who is milking a cow for some reason, responds, "I'm genuinely excited for you and your commercial that you had to pay me to come do."
