The Aurora Borealis displays Earth's wonders in a magnificent style.

Time-lapse photographer Randy Halverson captured the colorful phenomenon along with some unimaginable views of the Milky Way in a stunning video capable of dropping jaws across the universe.

The video -- filmed in South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah -- proved to be more difficult for Halverson than anticipated when unexpected weather patterns rolled in. However, the climate changes ended up adding something special to the time-lapse, as the lightning show complemented the dazzling stars.

Halverson also released an extended version available on Vimeo, featuring more locations and prolonged shots.
