If what you're trying to convey is best said with a lamington, then there's a new emoji keyboard here to help you out.

It's called the Aussie Emoji Keyboard, and it features more than 40 Australian-themed emojis including Vegemite, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Uluru and nearly every common Australian phrase under the sun.

The app has been developed by the phone company OPPO, and it's available to download for free at Google's Play Store. Unfortunately, it's only available on Android phones at the moment -- sorry, iPhone users.

To send an emoji, you'll first need to open the app. Once open, it's usable with any app that allows for text entry, including Facebook Messenger and Android's SMS messaging app. Your friend won't need to have downloaded the app to receive the emoji, but they'll of course need to if they want to send one back.

You'll be able to access the keyboard by tapping the emoji icon that floats on the side of the screen when you're about to type text. The OPPO emoji resemble Facebook stickers rather than your regular emoji, given their size and the fact you can only send one at a time.

Now it's up to Australia to develop secondary meanings for these icons à la the eggplant emoji scandal.
