Australians looking to add a touch of personal style to their smart phone will soon be in luck.

Moto Maker -- a website or kiosk service that lets users choose the aesthetic details of their Moto X smartphone, like backplate colour and the ability to have your name engraved -- will soon launch Down Under, according to the Australian Financial Review.

Motorola has not yet announced the exact launch date for Moto Maker in Australia.

Although our American friends have had access to the service since 2013, Aussies have waited two long years to have the opportunity to get that special "bamboo" finish.

Motorola -- bought in 2014 by the Chinese technology company Lenovo -- plans to bring the design hub in store, so customers can get their hands on their ideal phone.

For those using the online design hub, it is unlikely Australian customers will receive their customised phone within four days, like users do in the U.S., Lenovo's Matt Codrington told the publication. That's because Australia isn't big enough for its own Moto Maker assembly plant, he said.

Still, you could soon be getting your hands on a phone with the gold finish and hot pink case you have always dreamed of.
