We've got a few tools now that make it super easy to share documents and presentations on blogs and webpages. The latest is AuthorStream, which lets you upload Powerpoints, rate them, email them, comment on them and embed the Flash player in blogs and websites. For instance, the informative presentation about tennis star Maria Sharapova pictured below.
SlideShare is similar, while Scribd supports the widest range of formats. ZohoShow is another, while the ThinkFree Office suite also offers embedding of documents.
You can't really fault these tools - they're simple and do the job. We can thank YouTube for this portability of files on the web, as well as the copyright problems that are emerging.
