LOS ANGELES -- You've seen him in his Vibranium body -- now check out James Spader in the motion-capture suit that would become the malevolent bot in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

And let's face it -- mo-cap suits are the fanny packs of moviemaking. Not even The Rock can make them cool.

But there's something about Spader's presence -- that marionette-like gait, the purring voice -- that sends chills, even with the goofy insectoid getup and dots on the face.

Don't take our word for it: Even Captain America (Chris Evans) felt the chill on Spader's first day on the job. Check it out in this exclusive clip from the Avengers: Age of Ultron homevideo extras.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is available digitally on Sept. 8 and on DVD/Blu-ray Oct. 2.
