LONDON -- The cool Star Wars merch keeps on coming. Last week it was all Millennium Falcon speakers and custom Landspeeder beds (the latter sadly a DIY effort).

This week, it's Stormtrooper and C-3PO speakers - officially endorsed by Lucasfilm and Disney.

Available from today (Wednesday) on Kickstarter from £99 ($150), the wireless 2.1 system speakers comprise two tweeters and a subwoofer each and connect to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth.

Their eyes glow blue when they're connected and C-3PO says, "I do believe they think I'm some sort of god," when he connects. The Stormtrooper simply declares: "Move along."

The speakers are closely modelled on the props from the films, but feature grills and vents where stickers were used on the originals, the makers say. You can also answer phone calls through a built-in mic, if you don't mind talking to a disembodied head.

Of course there's more opportunity to splash the cash as the bid amounts rise.

For £249 ($380), you can get one of the speakers numbered between 11 and 99, and £499 ($760) will buy you one with numbers 1 to 10. If you're really rolling in it, £4,999 ($7,600) will buy you one of seven white gold-plated Stormtroopers or rose gold-plated C-3POs.
