In celebration of our first Doodle Day, the Mashable art team is improving your school-themed photographs with Star Trek references, cats and Air Bud.

To participate, share your favorite school photo from back in the day on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #BackToSchoolDoodle. Or send a photo directly to the Mashable Snapchat account or Watercooler Twitter page. We'll send it back to you, new and improved. This is definitely more fun than freshman biology class.
Submissions will be accepted until Sept. 11 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
