Users of the comment hub BackType will no doubt rejoice in today's news that FriendFeed comments are now a part of the service. BackType users can now mix in their FriendFeed comments by simply adding their FriendFeed username to the claim comments page for a more complete representation of their online conversations.

If you're unfamiliar with BackType, the service essentially lets you claim the blog comments you write across the Web, regardless of publishing platform, giving them a home where they can be searched, followed, and shared. BackType supports most blogging software, comment systems, Facebook, Mahalo Answers, Digg, and now FriendFeed.

Since BackType enables comment monitoring and searching and is a top tool for monitoring brand reputation, the FriendFeed integration only makes its tracking capabilities all the more relevant to individuals and companies alike.

We're really liking the new integration, but we'd love to know what you think. Are you using BackType? Does today's announcement amp you up to use the service more? Let us know in the comments.
