When looking for love, there are many factors -- not to mention apps -- to consider. Oscar Mayer is hoping bacon may make the choice a little easier.

The company launched a bacon-themed dating app called Sizzl on Wednesday which matches people based on their bacon preferences. Yes, really.

The iPhone app is a similar to other dating apps: connect with Facebook, answer a few questions and the app matches you with people nearby based on your preferences. But rather than the usual criteria, Sizzl relies solely on bacon-themed questions like, "How do you like you bacon cooked?"

Instead of swiping right, you indicate your interest by holding down the like button -- the longer you hold, the higher your interest.

Created by the same team behind the company's bacon-scented alarm clock app, the whole idea of Sizzl may seem like a joke but Oscar Mayer appears to have created a fully functional dating app. In the app's FAQ the company insists "it's real and it's incredible."

You can set preferences for age and location and the app even includes a feature that keeps your profile hidden from your Facebook friends. If you connect with someone, the app opens up a chat that allows you to exchange bacon-themed messages for up to seven days.

While we're not sure if cured pork is really the secret to finding love, we're betting members of the United Church of Bacon would be willing to give it a shot.
