Here's a lesson for all the local news graphic departments out there.
When a news station in New Zealand covered a story about a bull mastiff mix that kept biting tires, it probably seemed harmless. The dog had a traumatic incident with a car as a puppy. He was calmly taken into an animal control vehicle. It was a cute, local news story.
But the accompanying visual, created by 3 News, is not quite as cute.
Though the video is from 2011, the clip has only recently started circulating around the web as a testament to accidentally LOL-worthy news graphics.
It's worth noting, however, that the story's follow-up video had no reenactment visuals to be seen. Progress? We think so.
