LONDON -- Three weeks in the Caribbean might sound like the perfect honeymoon, but one couple decided to ditch that idea in favour of a trip to Dismaland.
Simon and Rachelle Christie-Irwin from Gateshead were planning to fly to Cuba on Saturday, but they cancelled their trip when they heard that Banksy's new "bemusement park" was only open for five weeks, according to reports.
The pair, who married in Newcastle last week, are big fans of the mysterious artist, and decided they'd prefer to explore his dreary creation in Weston-super-Mare instead.
"When we heard that Dismaland was happening, we knew we couldn't miss it," Rachelle Christie-Irwin said. "We are both massive Banksy fans and it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. This is totally more us than lying in the sun in Cuba."

The married couple explored the park in normal clothes before leaving to grab their wedding clobber and returning for a photo shoot among the purposefully depressing exhibits.
"Obviously it was very dismal, but it was just fantastic," she added. "When we got there it had been raining so everybody left. The rain made it much more dismal."
They lost a significant amount of money by scrapping the planned honeymoon, but insisted it was worth it. "Dismaland was such an incredible, unique experience that it doesn't really matter," Christie-Irwin said.
"We've got some really amazing photos that we would never have been able to have on a beach."
