Basis Technology has had an earlier ruling it had against Amazon held up by a Massachusetts court of appeals.
For an undisclosed reason, Amazon did not pay Basis Technology for their role in setting up Amazon's Japanese site, Amazon.co.jp. The two companies did reach a payment agreement at an earlier date, but Amazon later reneged on it, again for undisclosed reasons. A Judge has finally ordered Amazon to pay up on the agreement, remove itself from the board of directors of Basis Technology, relinquish all rights as a preferred stockholder, and that Basis may resume use of the Amazon logo in it's advertising.
