Thursday marks the first day of March Madness -- and, completely coincidental, the least productive day of the year.
However, if you've been groveling over a basketball bracket, you probably already knew that. There is a lot of time and dedication and thought put into bracket strategies. Some of this selection process has nothing to do with talent and skill, and more to do with loyalty, favoritism or which mascot is cooler.
Of course, these traditions prove no match for the underdog -- or the unexpected fail from the superstar team. Most of our brackets will be completely shot after the first round, unless you're Nate Silver.
