When you dislike specific aspects of your body, putting on a tiny bikini is not always your favorite activity.

With that in mind, the designer and founder behind Allusions by A. Lekay, Altrichia Cook, came up with a solution.

Her company designs high-waisted swimwear to mask any abdominal imperfections, while also allowing women to flaunt their assets.

Allusions by A.Lekay is approaching our 2 Year Anniversary! So excited! Thank you to ALL that have supported us in any way!! Most businesses don't even make it to see 2 years!! We are truly blessed and very excited! #TBT #AllusionsByALekay #allusionsbabe A photo posted by Allusions by A.Lekay Swimwear (@allusionsbyalekay) on Mar 12, 2015 at 5:04pm PDT

Cook created the collection in 2013, after the birth of her first child left her with scars she wanted to cover up. Cook told Buzzfeed that she couldn't find a swimsuit that was high enough to do the job. So instead of opting for a one-piece or monokini, the designer created her own high-waisted swimsuit so that she could feel “sexy and beach appropriate,” according to her website.

And even if you don't have post-pregnancy scars, Cook's bathing suits are an easy way to hide problem areas while also embracing your curves. Even celebrities like Nicki Minaj have taken to the brand. The rapper is currently sporting an Allusions by A. Lekay patriotic original in the July issue of Cosmopolitan.

The company strives to allow women to “flaunt their fashion sense...while providing the ability to cover imperfections.” Or, in other words, have the best of both worlds.
