Fans of Gotham's finest hero are getting the limited edition console they deserve -- and also the one they probably need right now.
Sony announced a limited edition PlayStation 4 to commemorate the release of Batman: Arkham Knight in June. The slate grey PS4 is adorned with Batman's silhouette and comes with a matching DualShock 4 controller.
The console will cost $449.99 and is accompanied by a copy of the game. The slate coloring is reminiscent of the limited-run 20th anniversary PS4, of which Sony only released 12,300. That version commanded high prices on the secondary market due to its limited availability.
Batman: Arkham Knight is Rocksteady Games' final entry into the trilogy that includes Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. It pits Batman against the Scarecrow, the Penguin and other villains, along with a new foe: the titular, mysterious Arkham Knight.
It's out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 23.
