Now that we've seen the first official trailer for the upcoming Zack Snyder film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the director is treating us to a look at the first official posters as well.

Snyder tweeted the posters late Sunday, hyping Monday's special event, which will offer fans an exclusive look at an extended version of the teaser trailer in IMAX theaters. The event was originally slated to be a first look at the trailer, but after it leaked to the public last week, the IMAX event was changed to offer fans "a little swag" (which might include these posters) and "a few extra shots" according to Snyder.

The posters are, unsurprisingly, just as gloomy as the trailer, offering further clues that this might be the darkest movie to include Superman (although Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Batman trilogy will be hard to surpass in terms of bleakness) we've ever seen.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 25, 2016. The movie stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and includes a host of other superhero roles, including Diana Prince as Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
