It's not quite as chunky or militaristic as Christopher Nolan's "Tumbler" from the Dark Knight trilogy. And it's certainly not as campy as Tim Burton's reimagining of the Caped Crusader's ride. But it's definitely the new Batmobile -- at least the rear end of it.

Zack Snyder, who's directing the May 2016 Batman vs. Superman (working title), tweeted this image Monday of the vehicle that Ben Affleck will use in his, uh -- fight? -- against Superman (Henry Cavill):

We're guessing from his tweet that the rest of the veil will come off soon. From the looks of it, the new Batmobile will be slightly more street-legal than the last one, which wouldn't get too far without attracting the attention of the National Guard:

And we're hoping it will be slightly less awful than the phallus on wheels from Joel Schumacher's 1995 monstrosity Batman Forever:

From the shape of the front end on Snyder's version, it looks like it might most resemble Tim Burton's Corvette Stingray/Jaguar XKE-inspired Batmobile from Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992):

But come on -- we all know there can be only one ...
