Another day, another extremely random fun fact about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
While fans are trying to figure out the big questions (like where's Luke?), something else they've been wondering about has finally come to light: Who's behind the voice of BB-8?
Writer Drew McWeeny at HitFix noticed at a screening of the film that the end credit for "BB-8 Vocal Consultant" belonged to none other than .... Saturday Night Live alum and Trainwreck star Bill Hader.
Seriously.

In an interview with HitFix, Hader described his role as vocal consultant, explaining how he and director J.J. Abrams created the voice for Episode VII's adorable new droid.
"JJ [was] f*cking around with this sound effects app on his iPad that was attached to a talk box operated by me," he explained. "It looked ridiculous, but it made BB-8's voice. At first I tried doing a voice, but we all agreed it sounded too human."
Movie magic at work.
