The band and label Capitol Records are working with crowdsourcing platform provider Tongal on the effort, which dangles a total of $10,000 in prizes.

For the first phase of the contest, which runs through Sept. 15, contestants are challenged to come up with concepts for the video that must be explained in 250 words or less. The creators of the five winning concepts will receive $250 plus a two-CD set of The SMiLE Sessions. Contestants then have about four weeks to shoot a video based on one of the concepts. Creators of the top video will get $5,000, second place gets $2,000, third gets $750, and fourth and fifth get $500.
