Reporter Hilariously Demonstrates Bear Safety Tips

You'll just have to bear with this hilarious reporter as she demonstrates how to protect yourself from wild animals in the woods.

Following a news story about a man who faced down a bear, reporter Julie Tremmel did a segment -- for Providence, R.I.'s local NBC affiliate WJAR -- on staying safe around bears. We're sure she had good intentions, but she looks about as comfortable in nature as Meredith did in The Parent Trap. The results are hilarious.

If you encounter a bear, Tremmel suggests darting your eyes wildly from side to side, waving your hands in the air like you just don't care and lying facedown in the dirt. You may be laughing now, but you sure won't when faced with a real bear.

Check out Tremmel's segment above, and take notes!
