More photographers are using planes and drones to shoot from previously impossible angles down on the landscape. These stunning aerials dominated the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest this year.
Each year, amateur and professional photographers can enter the contest, which closes June 30, with their beautiful photos from around the globe. Official categories include Travel Portraits, Outdoor Scenes, Sense of Place and Spontaneous Moments, and the winner receives an eight-day National Geographic Photo Expedition to Costa Rica and the Panama Canal.
