Both the the YouTube Underground competition and Yahoo's Talent Show have wrapped up. Now Skype, Bebo, Last.fm and the London-based digital media company 7Digital are getting into the game, too, by launching an online talent contest in which the public vote for their favorite acts.

Voting will cost 80p ($1.60), with the money being donated to Save the Children. The announcement was made earlier today, although there's no further information available on any of those sites. I assume that it'll be available in the Bebo Bands section, and limited to UK entrants.

In related news, Last.fm and the music label EMI announced yesterday that they're launching the Tuneglue-audiomap on the Last.fm site, providing links to "recommended artists, websites and retailers" based on your listening habits. Once again, I can't see the feature on Last.fm right now. And while we're on the subject of 7Digital, also note that they launched a widget over the last few weeks that allows bands to sell music on social networks like MySpace. It's available to Indiestore users, and would be a Snocap/MySpace Music rival if it wasn't for 7Digital's strong focus on the UK market.
