Bebo Partners with Yahoo Search: Acquisition Imminent?

Bebo, which was recently in speculation about a $1 billion acquisition by Yahoo, has just added Yahoo search, Mashable reader Stan noticed today. Bebo was famously without a search function until now, leaving room for Bebo search engines like Bigulo.

Users can now search the web, Bebo, profiles and the music section. The choice of Yahoo, rather than Google, means Bebo will see lower returns on search ads: any reason why they'd turn down that extra cash?

The addition of Yahoo search raises some bigger questions, too: is this a sign that an acquisition is imminent? Or does it mean that talks with Yahoo were merely concerned with the search deal? Nothing announced yet.
