One landscaper is dead and another critically injured after four men were attacked by a swarm of bees in Douglas, Arizona.

Douglas Fire Department officials say the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday as the landscapers were working on a home.

One man went into cardiac arrest, and later died at the Cochise Regional Hospital, the Arizona Daily Star reports.

Another man was stung more than 100 times, but was treated at the hospital and released.

The other two men did not require treatment, said Luzania.

The names of the victims weren't immediately released.

A 4-feet-wide and 6-feet-long hive was found inside the home's attic and a beekeeper later exterminated it after parts of the roof of the home were torn off.

According to Capt. Ray Luzania of the Douglas Fire Department, the hive had between 300,000 to 800,000 bees.
