This skyscraper in Manchester howls whenever the weather is blustery

Imagine living in a high-rise skyscraper that makes an eerie (and impressively loud) humming sound whenever there's a strong wind blowing. It'd be pretty annoying, wouldn't it?

Well, people that live in or around Manchester's Beetham Tower don't have to imagine. The video above, which was uploaded Sunday following a particularly nasty bout of November weather, shows the extent of the racket the building's capable of making during a storm.

"I am completely aware of the noise because I live at the top of the building," architect Ian Simpson said in 2012, after explaining that the sound is caused by wind rushing over the blade at the top of the tower. "At the end of the day it's not supposed to make noise. We have got to address that because it's causing distress."
