beRecruited has created a Facebook app which launched with a private beta last night and will go live tomorrow.
The beRecruited Facebook widget allows athletes to share their states, interested coaches, favorite schools, images, videos and sports headlines directly on their profile. Users can also customize what is shown to their friends, which is an offering that we haven't seen with many of the Facebook apps yet. The news regarding beRecruited athletes' activities is shown in their mini-feeds as well as their friends' feeds, alerting everyone as to when new images, video, etc. has been added.
Those involved with college sports know the importance of networking, and perhaps coaches will be better able to turn to existing networks such as Facebook and leverage a tool such as beRecruited for their own purposes. In related news, the company recently reached 100k members.
