This weekend, the world gave us an unexpected gift: Larry David on SNL, doing his best Bernie Sanders impression. But on the exact same day, YouTube gave us another surprise: James Adomian’s impression of Bernie Sanders.

To put it mildly: it was pretttttty, prettttty, good.

Last week, James Adomian and Anthony Atamanuik participated in a fake debate at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York. And while Atamanuik did a phenomenal job as Donald Trump (“I’m killing in the polls, and if elected, I will kill everyone”), Adomian’s impression of Sanders is creepily accurate. Spoken at a full-decibel level, with just a touch of Frank Costanza, the audience roared in response to: “People have said that I look like I was forcibly held down in a cotton candy machine. … I am simultaneously completely bald and have more hair than anyone else running for president.”

Outside of the Sanders debate, Adomian has previously appeared in Comedy Bang Bang, General Hospital and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, where he performed his George Bush impression until 2009.
