It's more than likely, however, that we'll see the iPhone 4 go free with a two-year contract once Apple's sixth-gen handset finally becomes available -- after all, this happened with the iPhone 3GS last October (before the smartphone gained a fraud-preventing $0.99 pricetag).
Regardless of whether the iPhone 4 drops in price to $0.99 or loses its pricetag altogether, both potential occurrences would be easier on the wallet than the $50 Best Buy is now charging.
So, if you can hold out for a couple more months before purchasing a cut-price iPhone 4, you'll most likely save yourself some cash.
