Wittels was just 30 when he lost his battle with addiction. He was a writer and producer on Parks and Recreation when his addiction hit its peak, as he discussed regularly both on stage and on various podcasts such as Comedy Bang! Bang!.

Wittels was never more candid about his addiction than in his strikingly poignant appearance on the You Made It Weird podcast with Pete Holmes. Throughout his struggles, though, Wittels' comedy brought light into the dark world he found himself in.

To honor his memory and inimitable wit, we've rounded up 30 of Harris' best tweets -- one for every year of his life -- to remind the world of his unique yet totally relatable brilliance.
