Bones just landed a white hot new squintern.

Betty White will guest-star on the crime show as Dr. Beth Mayer, an expert who tries to help solve a murder linked to fantasy football. In the show, a "squintern" (a combination of squint and intern) is the nickname for the revolving door of interns who work for Dr. Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel.

Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall! #Bones— Betty White (@BettyMWhite) August 27, 2015

"With a half century of work under her belt, Dr. Mayer is without a doubt the world's most experienced forensic anthropologist, which will lead to some serious competition with Dr. Brennan," Fox's press release says. White's episode will air in October.

Bones will return for its 11th season on Oct. 1.

White also recently starred on the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland.
