When Beyonce handed off the microphone to Taylor Swift at the 2009 Video Music Awards, for reasons we can never forget, the two formed a super secret and special bond unknown to us plebes. So secret, in fact, that we've hardly seen the two singers interact in public since then.
But thankfully, someone on the Internet is keeping the dream of a Tay-Bey friendship alive, starting with this delightful mashup of Beyonce's "XO" and Swift's "Out of the Woods."
The track lays Bey's vocals over Swift's synth-heavy backing track, and it's a match made in pop heaven. Although we would have liked to hear more Tay on the track, it's hard (or, if you are a Beygency believer, illegal) to argue with more Beyonce.
