Roald Dahl's classic 1982 novel is among the storyteller's most cinematic books -- it's packed with action, adventure, a bloodthirsty gang of man-eating giants, a visit to the Queen and a whole lot of fart jokes. (Seriously.) And now the story, which was also adapted into an animated TV film in 1989, is finally getting its big-screen due, thanks to Disney and director Steven Spielberg.

Get your first glimpse at the story in this moody, just-released teaser trailer, which sets the stage by introducing our heroine: Sophie (Ruby Barnhill), a little British girl who's snatched from her bed in the middle of the night by a giant (Mark Rylance). Not to worry, though -- he's one of the good guys. ("B.F.G." stands for "Big Friendly Giant.")
