The Australian Beliebers have proven they are just as intense as their global counterparts, and will go to great lengths to get themselves on Sydney's Bieber Island.
That isn't some creepy metaphor, there was actually an island in Sydney renamed affectionately after Justin Bieber (if only for a day). On Wednesday, the pop star performed to a bunch of media and industry types on the island, but only a selection of fans.
A number of competitions were held to give Biebs devotees the opportunity to win tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime love fest. It may seem like standard fare, but thanks to Twitter, it's possible to see just how far some people will go to gaze upon Bieber in the flesh.
Here is a step-by-step account of how Bieber Island crushed the souls of fans across Australia.
Australian radio station KIIS FM were one of the competition gatekeepers to Bieber Island and they felt the full force of the Beliebers.
