7 of the most memorable and touching stories from Big Bird's AMA

Fans from all over asked Carroll Spinney, the puppeteer who brought Sesame Street's beloved Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch to life for the past 46 years, about his experiences on the set during a Reddit AMA on Thursday. Spinney also shared his most memorable moments and his favorite interactions with fans (some of which will break your heart).

Spinney was promoting a documentary about his life and career called I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story. The documentary can be downloaded on iTunes, or viewed at the IFC Center in New York.
