LOS ANGELES -- Though Big Hero 6 wasn't technically a Marvel movie, its Marvel Comics origins all but required that Walt Disney Animation Studios consider two key elements: a post-credits stinger and a Stan Lee cameo.

They obliged on both counts -- and in one fell swoop, Big Hero 6 gave us the first cartoon version of Stan Lee on the bigscreen.

If you still haven't seen the film, by all means do -- not only is it a fun, innovative and colorful romp, but if you watch Friday in the right theaters you might catch the first Star Wars trailer -- and be sure to stay through the credits for Stan the Man's biggest cameo yet.

Now, unlike Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man et al, Baymax and the heroes of Big Hero 6 were not Lee's creations. But they were created by writers and artists working at Marvel right around the time the first Iron Man film was in production, so an "inspired by" credit isn't such a stretch.

Big Hero 6 hit theaters Nov. 7 and is already close to crossing the $200 million mark in worldwide box office. Check out this featurette (above) with Lee talking about his small but important role.
