Cost of an impressive battleship? Zero dollars. Cost of overthrowing the galaxy? Priceless.

Star Wars fans in Portland, Oregon, gave away their handmade, bike-powered Imperial Star Destroyer for absolutely nothing on Craigslist. No credits. No Nova crystals. Nothing.

The 22-foot-long, 8-foot-wide "ship" was created to be a parade float for Portland's Pedalpalooza "Star Wars vs. Star Trek" bike-riding event, according to the ad. However, the owners were forced to to give it up due to a lack of space.

"The ship itself is a PVC frame, re-enforced in certain areas with electrical conduit. The coverings are grey-painted weather-resistant coroplast," the ad said. "The craft is designed to split into two sections using convenient screw-joints for easier storage."

The ad said the Star Destroyer needs four bicyclists or a large truck in order to operate, and noted in a disclaimer that it does not actually fly -- just in case anyone feels like launching an intergalactic war from their rooftop.

Posted on Jan. 17, the ad has since expired, which probably means some lucky Imperial warlord just walked off with a brand new ship.
