The unlikeliest of friends make for the best stories.

Biker and sheet metal worker Pat Doody was riding cross-country from California to New Jersey when he came across a tiny, badly burned kitten at a Nevada gas station.

"I was just at this truck stop getting gas," Doody told Revzilla, "and this little guy just needed help. He was pretty badly burned, so I picked him up and tucked him inside my vest."

The kitten, which Doody logically named "Party Cat," rode inside Doody's vest all the way from Nevada to Jersey, snacking on dry-foil tuna and hanging out with his new BFF.

"He's so chill," Doody said. "I've never met a cat so calm."

Doody and Party Cat are home in New Jersey now, where Party Cat is now healing, eating regular cat food and enjoying the good life. "His burns are pretty much healed up except for [a] little spot on his lip," Doody reported.

We can't wait for this adorable duo's next adventure.
