Bill Hader is coming back to Saturday Night Live ... as a host.

NBC announced on Wednesday that he will host the Oct. 11 episode of SNL, which is celebrating its 40th season this year.

It will mark Hader's first appearance on the sketch show since leaving in 2013 after eight seasons, during which he became best known for playing colorful Weekend Update correspondent Stefon.

Hader currently stars in the just-released dramedy The Skeleton Twins, which co-stars fellow SNL alum Kristen Wiig.

The Internet's favorite celebrity of the summer, Chris Pratt, who starred in summer smash Guardians of the Galaxy, will host the Sept. 27 season premiere with musical guest Ariana Grande.

The big question: Now that we know Hader is coming back, will he bring Stefon with him?
