Christmas is going to be so chill this year.

Netflix picked up a Christmas special starring Bill Murray called A Very Murray Christmas, which will be co-written by the comedian and Oscar winner Sofia Coppola and Mitch Glazer (who also wrote the 1988 Christmas comedy Scrooged -- starring Murray, of course). Coppola will direct the special.

The Christmas special will pay homage to classic variety shows, according to Variety, and will star Murray as himself. In the special, after a snowstorm hits New York City, Murray parties the night away with guests at The Carlyle Hotel; the cast of partiers includes some big names, like George Clooney, Chris Rock, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Miley Cyrus, Jason Schwartzman and others.

The Christmas special will stream in December, though no release date has been set. We'll just have to watch this forlorn promo on loop until winter comes.

Murray previously teased the Christmas special in October on The Ellen Show, but was careful to dance around specific details.

In the meantime, fans can get their Murray fill in the upcoming Cameron Crowe film Aloha. The romantic dramedy, out May 29, also stars Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams.

Off set, Murray has been pretty busy crafting an urban legend out of himself, crashing bachelor parties and ambling onto engagement photo shoots.
