In the words of iconic fictional billionaire Gordon Gekko, "If you need a friend, get a dog." The same cannot be said for pigs, apparently.

For hedge fund manager Steven A. Cohen, whose net worth is $11.4 billion, a pet pig named Romeo became too much to handle.

According to the New York Post, the SAC Capital Advisors founder sent the pig to a vegan rescue facility in Florida after it became too large and moody for his 35,000 square ft. Connecticut estate.

"Romeo was purchased by Stevie Cohen as a piglet, but he grew to be over 150 pounds. Romeo is actually a very domesticated, intelligent and affectionate pig, but recently he started to get a little moody. The family got advice from a vet that Romeo would be better in the company of other animals, so Steve arranged for him to go to a farm to be with other pigs," a source told the Post.

According to the source, Romeo apparently had his own room in the mansion.

Sources tell Mashable that Romeo has already begun convincing other pigs at the Florida facility to invest in high-risk, high-yield stocks.
