The Bing Homepage Photo Contest, which asked you to use Bing's Facebook app to submit your photos for consideration, has officially come to a close and a winner has been crowned. The winning image, which is a breathtaking shot by of Jeremy J. Somers of a lightning strike over Sydney, Australia, will make its debut on Bing's homepage on August 3:

Bing made the announcement and revealed the winner earlier today on Facebook, where you can also view contest finalists and honorable mentions ranked by total number of votes (all of which are just spectacular).
