Microsoft has unveiled a revamped version of Bing Image Search, one that looks and feels a lot like the image search overhaul Google launched earlier this year.
At its Bing Search Summit in San Francisco, Microsoft demonstrated the redesigned product. The search engine completed the rollout of the new image search interface earlier this morning.
Bing Image Search now utilizes a grid format to display images side-by-side. There are options for displaying image results in small, medium and large formats. The large format includes traditional meta data on each image, such as filename and file size.
There's also a new feature called Smart Tabs. It breaks down a user's search query -- Microsoft's example was Casablanca Movie -- and provides relevant and related search queries, such as "Casablanca Flower" or "Casablanca Lily."
