Birchbox launches its first product line

Into the Gloss's Glossier and Michelle Phan's Ipsy and Em aren't the only hot beauty brands born on the Interwebs.

Starting today, Birchbox will follow suit, hoping to get a hold of the multi-billion dollar beauty business. The company, which has been sending tailored subscription boxes since 2010, will begin selling their first ever line of beauty products starting today. The entire line was fully conceptualized and developed by Birchbox.

"Love of Color" or "LOC," which includes bold, highly pigmented makeup products, was curated with YouTube beauty blogger Tati Westbrook of the GlamLifeGuru channel.

“We are incredibly focused on our customer's needs and when we heard they wanted help understanding and translating trends, we felt equipped to deliver that ourselves,” Katia Beauchamp, co-Founder and CEO of Birchbox, said in a press release. “We’ve advised and guided several other brand partners, so product development was a natural extension for us."

The LOC fall/winter 2015 collection, which features matte lipsticks and eyeshadow sticks, is available on Birchbox.com starting Oct. 15. Subscribers will also receive LOC samples in their November boxes.

Prices range from $8 for a lipstick to $10 for an eyeshadow. Collections featuring all or combinations of the products are also available from $18 to $46.

Birchbox plans to create two LOC collections a year, with additional products and shades each season.
