BitTorrent has a new CEO, Douglas Walker, who is the former chief executive of Alias Systems. After searching for a new CEO for some time, the appointment of Walker means that BitTorrent is looking to further its growth. BitTorrent has found a new CTO as well, in former CTO of Intermanp Eric Klinker.

The plans for BitTorrent are reportedly to refocus on its infrastructure, and less on the consumer side of things, and this is somewhat reflected by its bringing Klinker on board, as he has a good amount of experience on the infrastructure side of things. BitTorrent has recently launched its Delivery Network Architecture (DNA), which markets the commercial capabilities of its services.

It's also released BitTorrent 6, which incorporates several tools from its recently acquired uTorrent. Perhaps now we can get a better grasp on the end goals for BitTorrent 6 and DNA.
