Although this adorable old pup can't watch TV or see out the window, he is clearly enjoying all that life has to offer.

Redditor redhotsedative posted photos of his blind senior rescue dog after a double enucleation, which is a surgery when both eyes are removed. The photos reveal a dog on a happy track to a healthy existence.

The dog was adopted from Cincinnati Lab Rescue, where he'd been living since he was found on the side of a road, according to the post. The Redditor paid for the dog's surgery and adopted it soon after; the pooch has fully recovered in the seven months since the surgery.

"He's shown me a new perspective on life," the Reddit post reads. "He lived his whole life mistreated (likely chained up -- damage to his neck, cannot use a collar on him) and now he's the happiest dog in my pack."
