A blizzard of near epic proportion will hit New York City over the next 24 hours, dumping up to 36 inches of snow in some areas around the city.

We set up a livestream in our headquarters in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. The camera is pointed north toward Midtown.

On Monday afternoon, you could still see the Empire State Building in the upper part of the screen. However, visibility degraded over time, and the ESB vanished from the screen around 2 p.m. EST. By 6 p.m. it was shining brightly against the night sky, but the real blizzard hadn't started yet.
