Thousands of gaming fans descended upon Anaheim, California, on Friday and Saturday, for BlizzCon 2014.
Hosted by video-game developer Blizzard Entertainment, the event allows faithful players of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo to celebrate their love for the games, witness the global finals for Blizzard eSports, view panels, participate in casual gaming tournaments and cosplay as their favorite characters. Metallica even put on a live performance.

Blizzard also announced a new team-based, first-person shooter franchise, called Overwatch, which is expected to enter beta in 2015.
