It seems BlogTV is keeping an eye on YouTube, and using their "Most Subscribed" feature as a barometer of who they need to pilfer from the leading video site.
BlogTV's new season is launching with the likes of Justine "iJustine" Ezarik, who came to Internet mega-stardom due to her 300-page iPhone bill that went viral as well as hitting regular news sources. Joining her will be KevJumba who is among the most subscribed of all time on YouTube, Happyslip who holds the fifth biggest all-time in artists, VeryTasteful who is a comedian that has been featured on Comedy Central and VH1, as well as Lucywhip teaching you to cook and GuyPatton who is already a star on BlogTV.
Besides the new shows, BlogTV is also adding new features to their profile pages that will allow content to producers to add more of a unique branding to their shows. Users will now be able to style the backgrounds of their pages, add photos, make a show banner, and add ecommerce widgets such as ones that allow musicians to sell their MP3s. Beyond all of this, the video player has been doubled in size which should provide a more pleasant user experience for all concerned.
